If I told they would probably delete the post.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

sorry but other than badger the child's parents for a contribution towards the bill, i dont really think you have much recourse on this one.

I think your nephew is going to be cleaning cars and doing paper rounds for a long time lol

How did he go over so much, its hard to believe.

I'm guessing he found an 0906 number in a magazine with a hot lady and wondered what it was about, or saw those ads on telly with 0906 numbers on about meeting hot ladies in your area.

Consider it an expensive lesson on how to keep your phone in your pocket and not let kids mess with it. Unfortunately the network is unlikely to refund the costs unless you reported it stolen.

Get him to pay you back

And put a key lock on your phone

And keep a closer eye on him in future

And his parents should instill some respect in him for other peoples' property

Probably not a lack of respect - probably just a genuine misunderstanding. I went to visit my nan in intensive care last summer but when I got there, they wouldn't let DS (10) in. So they showed him to a little waiting room. I gave him my phone so he could play games on it and told him not to phone anyone. He was just intrigued with all the menu options and worked out how to video record himself. Unfortunately he also worked out how to send his clips to my brother and did about 30.

It didn't occur to him that this would cost more than texting. I put it down to experience. Don't know what I would have done if it had been a nephew!

That's probably only £15 at most though.

Oh my goodness - £170 - what was he doing to run up that bill! My nephew is 12 and goes through about a fiver every month!

Sorry to hear that beverley. I think he is in training to be a teenager. In case anyone is interested NEVER get your teenager a contract phone..........! We learnt that expensive lesson through bitter experience.
Hide your phone in future.
