DCB LEGAL letter of claim

Hey all!
I got 3 parking charges in 2020 during COVID when we had to queue to get into shops. I appealed and they said no I had to pay the PNC.
I ignored all the following letters (as I was stupidly advised)
Everything went quiet for maybe a year or two, now I've got a letter of claim from DCB LEGAL. It's £510 which is extreme. Can I still appeal? I've been told this is the letter before they start court procedures 😱

No worries you ignored the letters. No you can't appeal but you can defend a court claim with this forum's help. It may not even get to a court hearing DCB Legal often discontinue cases before the court fees are due to be paid. See Umkomaas thread think it's linked in NEWBIES.
Go to NEWBIES thread Announcement (top of page 1) Read and follow advice in Post 2 Small Claim.
Does your LOC give you 30 day notice?
Name parking company.2 -
Yes I have 30 days notice to respond via EEE.dcblegal.co.uk/response
Is it likely I'll have to pay something?0 -

If you didn't know this, you need to read Post 2 of the NEWBIES thread. Which we won't link (see my signature).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do you mean this response -
I'm worried that I'm going to be taken to court as the letter before this one said I can no longer appeal
Dear Sirs,Your Ref. ############Proposed Legal ProceedingsClaimant: xxxxxx xxxxxxxx LtdI refer to your your letter of claim.I confirm that my address for service for the time being - assuming you don't faff about and delay any claim - is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:[Correct address here]The alleged debt is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.I am sourcing and seeking independent debt advice and as such, I formally request that this matter be put on hold for an additional 30 days, in accordance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims 2017 ('the PAP').I note that the amount being claimed has increased by a hugely exaggerated amount which the Government called "extorting money from motorists".Don't send me your usual blather about that.I have two questions, and under the PAP I am entitled to specific answers:1. Am I to understand that the additional £70 represents what you lot dress up as a 'Debt Recovery' fee, and if so, is this nett or inclusive of VAT? If the latter, would you kindly explain why I am being asked to pay the operator’s VAT?2. With regard to the principal alleged PCN sum: Is this damages, or will it be pleaded as consideration for parking?Yours faithfully0 -
Yes, email that LoC response to DCB Legal, then await the inevitable court claim
