This much is correct, at least under general consumer law.

This part isn't (unless there's something specific to telecoms contracts, above and beyond your CCR rights).

I'm pretty sure that if you change your mind during BT's cooling off period it does enable you to revert back to your original contract price and terms. The irony is that I didn't request this in the first place.

I'd be interested to know who told you there can be additional charges for accessing voicemail on EE as it's absoluteley incorrect info

I had a phone call yesterday from the Excecutive Complaints Team at BT basically confirming that I had been migrated without authorisation but that I could not go back to BT under any circumstances. I tried to find out how this had happened, I asked if their sales people were on commission to migrate individual accounts but the answer was wishy washy and vague. I was given no proper reason, just lots of apologies that it shouldn't have happened. The call ended with BT offering to take me out of contract at the same price that I'm currently on so that I can have the opportunity to find a better deal without penalty. And a small monetary compensation.

With regards to accessing EEs voicemail service (which you can not opt out of) I read about it on the EE community forum. As I've not yet had to acces EEs voicemail myself I don't know for sure if there is a charge or not or whether that will be something that will be implemented in the future. From what I've read, there is no charge if you access it within the UK but there could be charges from abroad.
