Don't pay it's not worth it.

Look up online how to download all your emails, so you can sort through in your own time for important ones like mortgage applications and receipts for goods within warranty etc.

Then create a free email address with Google, yahoo, outlook or similar.

Finally change your email address with your bank, streaming services any websites you use, energy and water and of course government agencies.

Make sure to look up how to forward emails and how talktalk can automatically forward your emails to your new email inbox.

This will work until they close down your account and it also means you can check which sites you havnt updated yet. As per the forwarded emails.

This is a pain in know but don't be taken advantage of by ISP email charges when many free and better options exist

I've been a TalkTalk subscriber for many years and used their 'free' email addresses. Yesterday I tried to send an email and it was rejected. Tried several devices with the same result. When I logged onto the TalkTalk webmail app, up popped a message telling me I was blocked as I hadn't subscribed to Everymail and I was given the option to subscribe for £5 per month.

Not really knowing what was happening, I subscribed and set up a direct debit. This restored my email immediately. It was probably a mistake to subscribe, but I had some very important emails to send.

I raised a support call and whilst the support agent sorted out the problem he told me that the subscription was a matter between Everymail and me and TalkTalk were unable to help me in cancelling the direct debit.

Currently trying to find out how to contact Everymail to sort this out.

Reading between the lines, from what the agent told me, I am not the only user to experience this problem.
