Don't rush into anything, take time to come to terms with what's happened and feel good that you will soon have some money behind you rather than lack of it being a source of stress.1

Regarding driving lessons for eldest, these are really expensive now, our local instructors seem to insist on two hour lessons, we were paying £70 a time 3 years ago. There will also be an expectation that you'll be funding lessons for your younger child too, so you may want to earmark that. My Daughter has estimated that lessons, tests, car, tax and insurance will be getting close to £10k - she's decided driving is not for her, which is also a good thing for us as so far she's been a disaster on anything with wheels!
You have a fabulous opportunity to put the money to good use, you can create some wonderful memories with your children.
If you'll be using your inheritance to support dya to day living in lieu of UC could this be an opportunity to change direction in career to move upwards from being just above NMW.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
