    I don't think you're obliged but if it was a really big sum (5 figures or more), I'd be buying them a fairly lavish gift. even for 4 figures maybe a bottle of prosecco. It's just a nice thing to do.
  • Giving you the ticket was an act of kindness.
    So why not repay that kindness with an act of kindness of your own?  Offer your relative part of the prize.  They'll appreciate the gesture - and if they don't want the money, they can always decline.
