I came across the article on how to submit a claim without going through the plethora of companies who are charging extortionate fees.
Followed the guidance and submitted in emails form and got this automated response within minutes:
Thank you for your motor finance commission email. Please accept this email as confirmation that we have received this.
If your email is about a new commission complaint

If your email is about a new commission complaint
Please accept this as your complaint acknowledgement, if you hold the relevant authority. This applies to any complaint we receive via a Claims Management Company or 3rd party.
We are currently following the revised Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) instructions. They have advised a change to the way commission complaints of this type are handled, the normal 8 week timeframe to respond has been paused.
Based on the latest FCA instructions the pause applied to commission complaints will be until 4th December 2025. We are not required to respond to commission related complaints until after this date, at which point the normal 8 week timeframe will start.
We appreciate your patience during this time.
What does this actually mean? Do I wait? Can I still pursue this as an individual?
Any help/ advice would be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you

Yes, you wait. Despite all the noise made by MSE, there is nothing to claim until the Supreme Court hands down it's judgement followed by weeks/months till the FCA instructs lenders.1

The FCA has officially paused all complaints. They have promised an update within 6 weeks of the Supreme Court ruling. Its likely they will require companies to have a redress programme but have managed expectations saying this is unlikely to start until 20260 -
Thank you for getting back. That makes total sense now. Much appreciated0
