Lloyds TSB CarSelect

Back in 2012 we bought a car from Lloyds TSB CarSelect through the CSMA Club. We can’t find any paperwork but a copy bank statement shows payments were made to CarSelect so they obviously were the finance providers. Neither Lloyds TSB CarSelect nor CSMA Club still exist so would anyone have any thoughts on where to send one of Martin’s template letters?

The firm doesn't exist so who would pay your any refund?

The only chance would be if someone bought their books and liability but if that wasn't the case your case is over

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

CSMA club still exists but was renamed.  However, it wasn't a car dealer and the loan provider wasn't car dealer arranged finance either.    So, it wouldn't fall within the remit of the redress scheme, once that is finally announced.
