Got the full fibre and switched from TalkTalk to EE

The whole digging the ducting took seven weeks and I was finally switched too EE. Well, talktalk doesn't seem to know about this, no final bill, website account details have no mention at all.
I assume I will get a final bill at some stage. How long does it usually take? Will it help if I give either or both parties a nugde?
As I understand, they should be talking to each other.

When you ordered from EE did you order a new line or a switch?
You should have received a "sorry to hear you are leaving" email from TT almost immediately if you used the switching service.
If you ordered from EE without mentioning your current provider because you were ditching your landline then TT will not have been notified.
As you say you have just got full fibre, is the TT service over the old phone line still active?
Time for some investigation on your part.2 -
Do you have telephony and wanted to move the number to EE ? , if you didn’t then it’s possible that your TT will continue until you notify them yourself, as stated , if you got a ‘sorry to see you leave’ type message then it should close automatically but if you didn’t you will need to approach them yourself…TBH as the EE service is now in and working , I would call them anyway.1

I did receive an automated email, "EE has let us know that you're thinking of switching broadband providers*"
they they mention estimated charges.
So I think I'll just wait patiently.
Thanks.0 -

When I switched from Sky FTTC to full fibre FTTP I had to manually inform Sky that broadband/telephony was no longer required.2 -
The Talk Talk language is interesting, EE have advised us you are thinking of switching providers when the notification isn’t you are thinking but you have make the decision to switch, presumably it’s designed to suggest that it’s no longer a done deal and you can cancel , which is true but not because your are just thinking about switching provider but you have the right to change your mind .
TBH , with one touch switching OTS , which is now the default, the type of network should be irrelevant, so it doesn’t matter if you were switching from TT to EE and staying on copper ( you were moving to FTTP ) the OTS doesn’t care , as you say just a matter or waiting until you get your final invoice, but as stated I’d be a little more proactive incase they add extra days saying they were notified late , not about the order , but when the connection was eventually made.1 -
I moved from TT at the end of last year, just checked my email and the message is the same, "Virgin Media has let us know you are thinking etc" but there is a lot more later in the email.
In my TT account a planned disconnection date did eventually appear, it was actioned two days after VM went live.
I was able to request a refund for the few days of overpayment shortly after.
@JayMNa keep checking you TT account !1 -
The first step of the OTS is to notify the customer that someone is trying to take "the line" and what the early termination fees are. Probably why it is worded like that.
That is before the new supplier has even entered an install/change over date or customer agreed the new contract.0 -

Digging for the fibre was one part OpenReach, one part RJ Utility Services, all nice and polite lads but seemed to me things weren't quite co-ordinated.
I was suprised the ducting is actually only shovel blade deep. Works fine, I am getting 500+ megas with my new laptop, as purchased, and around 400 with my old old laptop, both via wifi, not ethernet.
I did talk to someone at talktalk about the final bill, it was all very confusing but she did recognise the termination date although on the website my bill was generated as if the contract was continuing and only amended at the last minute to the final bill, so very nerve-wrecking as I didn't want to call them again due to high blood pressure problems.0
