Recently my RWG SIM card stopped working for calls from home which I suspect is down to a large tree right next to the building I live in blocking the reception, particularly when it got cloudy and was raining. I am wondering if I turn on Wi-Fi calls will RWG charge me extra or deduct data from my data allowance if they connect calls in this way?
I have tested the phone and reception with another RWG SIM card and another phone. It works outside but both SIMs are the same indoors.

Oh, just found on their website they don't yet offer it yet, although they state it is coming soon.0

Wifi calling works with your broardband, not your data1

Wifi calling requires support from your network, and that's something rwg/nowmobile keep not getting round to.david29dpo said:Wifi calling works with your broardband, not your data1

Have you thought of contacting Toby carvery? They have experience with large trees. Or there's a couple of guys up north but they're a bit busy for the next few years I hear....Buster_Danog said:Recently my RWG SIM card stopped working for calls from home which I suspect is down to a large tree right next to the building I live in blocking the reception, particularly when it got cloudy and was raining. Sorry couldn't resist...but might be worth checking if there's a tree preservation order. Alternatively could it be construed as a 'high hedge'?1

Although the question is rather moot, should wifi calling ever become available calls would be charged the same as normal calls, so would come out of your call allowance.
You might be able to use WhatsApp to stay in touch with family and friends, but if you're expecting a call from the garage etc....1

This is the first year it has been over the height of my window. It is only a 12 year old tree without very thick branches. I presume they will have to start cutting it in future as it is on a city street, but for now I'll have to find a way around it.savergrant said:

Hope your local council are more helpful than ours - a neighbour asked for an overhanging tree above his fence to be cut back ,only to be told that the "council don't do it anymore unless there is a danger to life " !Buster_Danog said:

The inference seemed to be " do it yourself ,we will turn a blind eye"1

I would do it in that case, but I am on the second floor and have no way of getting around the other side of the tree.brewerdave said:
