Hi I am selling off a few bits of my old baby stuff to help with pennies after christmas.I have a cot listed and as my son never used it I listed it as good cond "as new".Things were going well has been on for 4 days, when i went to bed last night had 12 watchers and bids up to £30.This morning when I got up i got an email saying that my listing had been canceledand all bidders had been informed.A the term "as new" is classed as spam??????? I have seen loads of stuff listed with that term any advice. I am really gutted.

'As new' or 'like new'as a term is not allowed on ebay, It is either new or used.
You can relist without problems as long as you remove the term in question. You can however list as VGC (very good condition) and then state in the body of the auction that the cot is unused.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Them's the rules
I saw the title of this thread and had a funny feeling it would be about 'As New'
Pulled listings for keyword spamming fall foul of these words more than any others these days. Or perhaps it's just that people feel it's unreasonable, so they post about it here.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Mumhug - I think the reason you see others listing with that in the title is because eBay only remove the ones which are reported to them. Its happened to me recently too and is very annoying as it only seems to happen when you've got something which is doing well. Sour grapes from a competitive bidder I suspect :mad:Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550

at the moment there are 8972 auctions with "as new" in the title and 1031 with "like new" .WWSD(what would Scooby Doo)0

If only they would devote as much energy to sorting out real problems, the must be the only company who doesn't know what "As new" means.0
