Price increase in Package Holiday

Looking for advice from members more versed in these matters than I am. I normally book my travel separately but checked a package deal yesterday for the 2nd of October 2025. I went back on the site today to book and found the price increased by nearly 500 pounds.
This may be a silly question but do these sites track your activity and raise prices relevant to your activity?

Cookies, yes they track you.
Whether that affects pricing only the company will know.
When buying ANYTHING including via the likes of Quidco or Topcashback always clear browser cookies before revisiting the seller.1 -
Try opening a private window in a browser and see what prices you get from that.
It's all like a game of monopoly - they are there to get you to pay as much as possible and we have to try and pay as little as possible with a little bit of extra work when booking.0 -
Thank you for all your comments and advice. Tried all of the above and still the same increase. Maybe they just decided to increase as it gets nearer the holiday date.0

Have you tried it on your mobile phone when not connected to your wifi in case they are tracking you via your IP?0

Package holiday prices and flight prices do change over time. Nothing suspicious about it.1

yes that's what I assume has happened, I was just surprised at the level of increase in one day.0

They have a number of rooms and flights allocated. If they have sold the majority the price goes up, if they need to fill spaces the price will drop.
I also found that the best prices were offered late at night and the early hours.
Time of year booking also makes a difference.
If you like me package keep watching for a week or more
It used to be more predictable but no longer.
Another way is to look is to see if another company offers the same package. I've done trips where there were several different groups doing similar
If there is a high street presence you could try there. I used to go in and give three destinations and ask what would be the best price. They would come up with some good deals. Always go out to check reviews and make a decision without pressure.
But yes. I always used to delete cookies.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on
The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well
