Ebay says my parcel is dispatched but it isn't

There was no option to choose on my part - the eBay system took payment on acceptance of the offer without coming back to me to confirm.

I thought so. When you make an offer you don't specify collection or delivery, and ebay 'helpfully' automatically charges you if the offer is accepted. However if the buyer pays for a label which then isn't used they should receive a refund (eventually). By canceling and refunding the seller will temporarily be out of pocket, as the payment funds won't have cleared but they have issued you a refund.

That’s right, after it’s dropped off you can’t re do the code or label. Until it is accepted by the courier then below that is the link to get the QR code or label again.

Last night whilst I was reading this thread I downloaded some labels- even though I haven't yet even wrapped the items. Those items show as despatched but following on from the screen shot above I have the option, just below that as follows:

You can reprint your label and track your package on My eBay.

What to do next?

This morning I am wrapping my items and can use that screen to print out the labels I generated last night. I can also get the QR code if I chose . It is not a 'new' label, it is the existing label just downloaded again.

I went up to the shop today with my parcel and QR code. It still worked so it's gone now. 

I preferred the old system where the seller got to choose the delivery method, I'm not keen on Evri.

You can deselect Evri if you don't want to use them. This link should help you. Simple Delivery

How did you get the qr code in the end?

As above, the QR remains available until scanned by the courier.

If the seller listed the original item as delivery only then eBay doesn't know to offer you the option of collection.

With the new simple delivery you can choose whether you want Royal Mail, Evri or allow the buyer to choose from both.

My issue with simple delivery is that it is overcharging buyers, items that would have cost £1.80 for light large letters are costing buyers £2.50
