Is my phone 4g compatible?

Is there a way I can check to see if my Nokia 216 (RM-1188) is 4G compatible?  I keep getting messages from Tesco Mobile about the forthcomming 3G switch-off but don't know if it will affect me or not.

You have a 2g phone and O2 (who Tesco Mobile use) will continue to run the 2g network.

Google or search engine of your choice will find the specs of the phone.

3G switch off won't affect your 2G-only phone.
It won't work on 4G or 5G and doesn't work on 3G currently!

Your phone is only 2G, which will be switched after the 3G network.

From 2016? The only spec I can find online says that it is 2G only.

2G isn't being switched off yet so it should still work for the foreseeable.

Whilst 2G isn't being switched off, O2 have started (slowly) migrating the 1% if their customers who still have 2G phones away from 2G use. This is to free up bandwidth for emergency calls, machine to machine and Internet of things.

From October O2 won't allow roaming onto 2G.

Given the age of the 216, it's probably best to plan to change to a more modern phone in the next year or so (if Tescomobile don't make you an offer beforehand). Others have reported getting a 4G voice compatible Nokia feature phone for £15 in Argos sale.

I have a 2g Samsung GTE1080i which I bought through Tesco mobile in 2011. I was thinking that this would be supported for some time but last week I found I could not fully switch on and had a frozen display which I had never seen before. I tried removing and reconnecting the battery to find the phone complete dead. I suspected this was linked to the 2g shutdown and so went to my local Tesco phone shop. After some fiddling they managed to get it working again and said it was probably a bad contact on the SIM ! I think otherwise.
They suggested an upgrade with the IMO Dash4g mini for £24 with £10 free top up, which seemed reasonable to me, although I subsequently found I need to also buy a charger. The old SIM is too large to swap so they offered to fit a new one, advising me it would take 24 hours to transfer my number to the new phone. Also I would lose all the data on the old SIM. I have decided to wait until I have checked all my data before accepting their SIM swap offer on the new phone. My old 2g Samsung is still working but I feel very uneasy about how long it will last in view of my recent experience. A duck duck smart search on the internet now tells me Tesco mobile will stop both 2g and 3g by the end of this year. This smart search uses AI to scan all relevant data to try and make some sense of the 2g confusion out there at the moment.
I have been on the PAYG lite tariff for the last 14 years as I only bought the phone for emergency if I needed car recovery as I am now finding it difficult to fit the spare due to my age. Now I need it for OTPs of course.
I am assuming my lite tariff will transfer across with the SIM swap but will ask Tesco to confirm this before they do it and also if my credit will also transfer.
Has anyone already gone down this route?

I have a number of 2g update issues, perhaps the best way is to create a new post around each?
