Check those MCB trip switches carefully.  Some makes don't flip all the way down so need a manual push down then back up to reset.  But it's an odd coincidence and you'd not expect any to trip on a meter swap...

But powering off any device that's normally on 24/7 can cause its' low voltage power supply converter to fail at the next switch on.  Pure bad luck, if so.

Do you have home emergency cover under house insurance?  That might get a person who can out to investigate (a heating electrician ideally) and fix.

Any friends, neighbours or family nearby who may be able to assist?

    Little update,

Scottish Power have finally agreed to send someone out, and just got a call from the company that installed the meter who is sending someone out within 4 hours.

I could of course go without heating as my flat is very hot anyway, and have an electric shower it was just I wanted to report it to stop future issues, (I rent from a HA)

Let us know what they find, it might help someone else who finds themselves in the same position.
    And good luck!

You might want to call out your HA home support team too.  But suspect they wont necessarily be available to Monday. You might want to check what they say on their website about boiler failures, they may have 24/7 support numbers.
As strictly anything after the meter cabinet is the responsibility of the homeowner / landlord.

An old twin meter with RTS implies a restricted hours circuit (driving the old NSH type consumer unit) should almost certainly have been replaced with an ALCS meter (5 port if restricted feed switch onboard or 4 port with external contactor if not).

[As most meter fittings are done on a like for like basis. I suppose if restricted was obviously already disconnected in the meter cabinet - and that meter never incrementing - they could have rationalised the installation - but I'd not expect that to be purely their call - or to accept instruction from anyone other than owner - the HA not you - to do so.]

You wouldnt be expected to know anything about meterig or wiring especially so in rented accommodation - and I would have hoped any meter fitter replacing an RTS should have known and fitted the appropriate model.

If your gas system operated 24/7 - which it should have done - if your lights / sockets etc are working so should it be.

Is there any sign of life on the boiler at all ?  Any little LEDs on isolator switches, any timed programmer panel, or radio remote thermostat indicator flashing or not, expternal to the boiler itself.

Have you got any old bills / old measurements - and current readings - were both meters recording usage - or was one fixed / constant ?

We will talk more about the tariff you are using in a home with restricted meter and with gas - after the current problem with boiler resolved.
