I am with Scottish Power.

Now the meter has been replaced theres no electrical power going into the thermostat in living room, or the boiler.

I have gas supply with British Gas and SP are saying BG fault as they supply the gas, but it's an electrical issue.

About to phone BG but wanted advice first.

Have you checked to see if the circuit breaker for the boiler has tripped?

Checked all the trip switches and they are up, but I would assume the thermostat in another room would be a different circuit.

A wired thermostat will take its power from the boiler. Have you tried the reset button on the boiler?

Also check that the gas hasn't been switched off at the meter. No gas pressure would prevent the boiler attempting to fire up.

When was your meter replaced? Yesterday?
Can you share a photo of the meter, your consumer unit and the wiring between the two?
Do ythavena photo of your old meter that you could also share?

    Just a few hours ago,

The boiler I assume is connected to electric, the pressure looks ok but the boiler display is blank it has a switch on wall which I have flipped off and on tested off for a minute then back on too.

The new meter is a SMETS2, old meter was 2 analog meters as was the teleswitch ones even though gas heating was installed prior to my tenancy by a few years.

I do have some old photos of the meter but not the wiring, there was an old consumer unit from the storage heater days but it's disconnected, but I have just in case made sure they are up.

If it is "odd" off peak wiring there is a chance the circuit has not been reconnected or connected to the off peak side of the meter - do you still have multi rate ?  Photos of the new set up ?

Will get some up soon, it's downstairs and I have to use a stick to go up and down stairs so having a quick rest.

I notice so far it's saying zero usage on the meter.

That was my thought too, that somehow the circuit feeding the boiler hasn't been (re)connected to the new meter feed.

If you had 2 meters, known as complex metering, and changed to a single meter there is a fair possibility something has been missed.
