The losers of Christmas 2007

I thought I'd start a losers of Christmas 2007 thread. I made a mistake and named it 2008 to begin with.

It's the companies that let you down this Christmas.

For me the biggest loser has to be IWOOT. Took them nearly 3 weeks to send out my items even though they were in stock. People who ordered weeks after me got their items sent via courier and mine were sent out via slow parcel mail. Items did arrive on Christmas eve, too late to give to my friends and one of the items was not what I ordered but a cheaper version of it.

Play were slower than normal and sent the wrong item on one occasion but did work hard to fix it.

Anyone want to join in with a list of losers?

I forgot another big loser for me was Dolphin Music. I'd never ordered from them before but they had an item that was sold out everywhere so I took a chance. It was more a problem with the courier, city link. Item was dispatched on a Friday and I was supposed to get in on Monday but they kept not loading it up onto the van. Dolphin told me to sort it out with the city link, who told me they would only deal with dolphin. Was told it would be delivered on Wed and it wasn't, then Thursday and it wasn't, on Friday I was told it was not on the van and would not be delivered to Christmas eve. As it wasn't on the van I went to the depot to pick it up but it really was on the van. Eventually got it just in time for Christmas.

It is more a city link problem than anything.

    Chargrilled T shirts for me.

Still waiting for my t shirt that I ordered in November for my boyfriends christmas present. Repeatedly lied to and promised it would be coming!!

But theyve made it up to me by giving me 25% off my next order.... Right... Wont be using them again...

I'm not a big fan of them either. Slow service (or non-existent in your case) and I didn't like the quality of the shirts.

Are you getting a refund or you still hoping the shirt will turn up?

Its the only place that does this one t shirt (think the puma logo but replace it with a tuna and the writing 'tuna').

They tried to fob me off with 'we only print shirts when we have a batch of orders to save on printing costs'. When I told him this was rubbish he questioned how I knew this. He didnt seem happy when I explained I was a printer (so qualified in all the possible techniques they could possibly used) and my best friend owned a t shirt printing company which I help her with.

Hmm Actually they promised it would be here by now! Off to complain again!!

IWOOT as well for me. Used them tonnes of times before with no problems but this time they took the p1ss! I wasn't the only one though, I started a thread and others said the same!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Debenhams online every time for me. Will never ever use them again, they lie and are incapable of sunning a simple stock keeping system.

I know the shirt. Could you get your designer friend to do the shirt for you at all?

Even if they did do the t-shirts in batches, that should be printed on the site so you know you could be waiting a while.

The t-shirt companies listed in my winners thread have always worked out really well for me. Try them next time for something different.

HMV online are pants too. I did 2 orders within a week of each other, 1st order took a month to arrive, second order has apparently been posted on 21st December but has still not arrived!! Have to wait 14 WORKING days to ask them where on earth it is!!
Our dream has come true... :D
  • HMV have been slow for me too. I know it says something about the "14 days" on their customer services page , but in their FAQs it also says "However, if after 10 days from the shipping date the parcel has not arrived, please contact us with confirmation of your shipping address"

    Get onto them!
