Defence template advice for paragraph 3, which cases may be helpful?

Ok thank you. In the defence template for paragraph 3, do I leave blank? Or maybe you could offer some advice for a specific topic to cover in that part? I’m struggling as reading others defences, they have more reason and rationale. I have no defence from where I’m standing?Coupon-mad said:

Once this one is in, I will address the other, however the circumstances are the same and would think my defence is also the same.Or do I admit defeat because I have no defence? I’m so stressed and overwhelmed by it all I wonder if that is just better.No.0 -
Sorry to double @ you. As you said, the defence needs to be sent in ASAP, and I have a blank paragraph 3. Should I just leave it this way? Do you have anything more specific I can refer to or write in this part? The defence template is great and have that, but in regards to para 3, the reasons and cases suggested arent relevant and therefore I have nothing to write? I really have no idea what to write, and will likely be submitting without the info in paragraph 3.Coupon-mad said:

Don't have a blank para 3 - if numbered renumber so 4 becomes 3 - if that makes sense...renlitai said:

I think I have it sorted that I am using para 1-7 as per the new defence template and then adding from pararaph 4 onwards from the defence template in the newbies thread?
As I havent added anything, I have a total of 11 paragraphs?0 -
No. Use the Template Defence.
And do NOT have a blank paragraph 3, obviously. Unless you want your defence struck out for failing to respond to the POC,PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They'll discontinue in 2026 anyway (well DCB Legal will, if you defended and if you follow all our steps.
Did you see the Public Consultation and read the guidance thread about that too? Deadline extended to next Friday: FIGHTBACK ALERT:Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline next week. See this thread:
We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.
I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.
Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam over 18 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.
CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello, I have defended both claims. I have a mediation next week for one of them. And the second has been lifted but no further correspondence just yet. Although Iv learnt to know that doesn’t mean it’s over.Do you have any advice for the mediation? As I am nervous that as I have no defence the judge will be in their favour. I literally don’t know what to say because I knew there were restrictions and continued parking there anyway.0

Mediation advice is in post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, or the first post in the defence template thread in announcements in the 8 steps. Have you not read that advice ? Have you not read other recent cases with the advice or feedback about Mediation ?
There is no judge at mediation, do not discuss the case at all, mediation is about a monetary settlement
Some people say, no offer, I will not settle at this time, thank you and goodbye, a 2 minutes phone call, like this one below

I have read the cases, and although I’m aware the mediation is solely about settlement, I am still apprehensive this will go further due to no settlement, and therefore the judge will not be in my favour due to lack of defence. Obviously I’m not there yet, so will take it as it comes. But I still have reservations.Gr1pr said:Mediation advice is in post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, or the first post in the defence template thread in announcements in the 8 steps. The judge will have no knowledge of the mediation call and will judge the case on your defence against the POC and your and the claimant's witness statement.2
