my partner has now received an email from Debt Recovery Plus. I have attached it here. They are threatening to take it to county court.

Simple. Ignore it. DRP can’t take you to court. APCOA won’t.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

"They are threatening to take it to county court".

It doesn't actually say that at all if you read all that purposely wordy junk carefully!

    Obviously ignore that trash, LOL!

We are laughing at this bit under the sub-heading: 'Liability for the Charge in E&W':

    image.png

Trouble with that is, APCOA never used the POFA, so they should have put the same line as the sentence about Scotland. Apart from railway station PCNs issued in 2026 for the first time, it's driver liability only with APCOA.

Your PCN was from 2025 which is when they never used the POFA, so this email is misleading rubbish

    They are to be ignored.

    Tell your partner:

    DO NOT PAY!

    DO NOT TAKE THE BAIT.
