Ryanair flight cancelled

Due to our Traffic controller strikes our flight to Marrakesh was cancelled on 3rd of July whilst we were on board the plane
We were unable to obtain another flight going out due to them being fully booked
I believe Ryanair are going to refund us for the flights out but are refusing to refund us for our return flight which of course we were unable to access
I believe they are going against ABTA rules & regulations as per the ABTA site
It's almost impossible to get through to Ryan on the chat are just like repetitive robots

Anyone offer any guidance as to whether we are in fact entitled to a refund our return flights?
Thanks

Ryanair are not a member of ABTA, so their guidelines are of no relevance here.
You'll find you've bought two single tickets from Ryanair, so by the wording of the law they only owe you a refund one way. You need to try your travel insurance for the other half1 -
As above ABTA don't regulate flights, even if their website may give information on the regulations, it's not their field.
Were all of your flights on the same booking reference (ie both outbound and return?) If they were then you're owed a refund for both the outbound and inbound flights.
If you booked the outbound and return separately and have different booking references, then they're treating them as separate bookings and don't need to refund.
The link in the cancellation email used to ask if you wanted a refund for just one flight, or for all flights on the booking? (although this was for a flight cancelled a long time in advance, not on the day)0
