Yes, but I managed to complete the process online without contacting customer services-remember, contacting customer services could affect any cashback.

I can’t remember what I selected, but I did use a secondary email account, one different from the one that I used for NOW. It went onto another screen, beyond the one that you have encountered. I did answer truthfully, so if it asked if I was an existing Sky customer, I selected no, because I was with NOW. I didn't sign in with my NOW account details, I just had to enter an email address. Setting up an account with a password was done days after that.

There may have been a link under the message you saw that I originally missed. It would have been some small text. Clicking on that took me to the next screen, if my recollection is correct.

Cashback tracked in a few minutes-whether it pays out is a different matter. It’s worth noting that some people have had cashback declined because Sky says they didn’t complete the process online, so I would avoid contacting them by phone during the switchover period.

I went through the Sky sign up process and completed everything online without issue. Order confirmation e-mail received by Sky and a ‘Sorry you’re leaving’ e-mail from NOW.

However, I also got an e-mail, near enough straightaway (and text the following day), saying that Sky require some more information for the set up and to phone them.

TopCashback has not tracked yet, so I may wait a few days before contacting Sky. The other option may be to set up a 'My Sky' account/password and see if that changes anything.

I didn’t receive that email. I did receive text messages from both Sky and OpenReach on the day I arranged the switch about the upgrade to FTTC; maybe it’s about that. They were just about an engineer calling.

They did call to try to offer me a deal on Sky TV, but that was a few days later.

Just ensure you have Fibre running to your house  - Sky told me it was available in my area, so I went ahead to switch, Openreach came to install the box in the house, said no fibre cable running to my house. Sky switched me to Fibre, meaning no internet. Couldn't just switch me back. This happened 1st August - I've had to say that I have no phone signal so rely on wifi calling, for Sky to agree to switch me back to FTTC - but won't be activated until 12th August. So will be 12 days without broadband. And i've had to take out a new 24 month broadband deal with Sky.
