financed a car with Blackhorse through Evans Halshaw 2011 - no paperwork now

Options
Just remembered taking a car loan way back, 2011.
I can only remember part of the reg - PL06 - I feel cheeky ringing Blackhorse up and saying "find my records" with no reference number or anything.
Would this sort of car loan be classed as HP?
Is it possible to search for cars you've owned in the past?
Thanks for reading my daft questions

There is no central database of car finance no

Do you not have service records in email or paper copies etc?

No-one can tell you what finance you had except the lender - you could send in a speculative request using the MSE form and see what happens

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

might go through old laptops for photos of the car reg plate.
Or be brave and call Blackhorse.

Or maybe wait until the FCA complete their report and decide on which redress scheme method they are going to use and what you will need to do when they have decided (it will either be an auto-opt in or request to opt in).
