I live about 46 meters from a 210 year old listed stone building

My boiler busted and I’m having it replaced by Northern Ireland Housing Executive under their Affordable Warmth Scheme

Normally it would just be a straight swap - oil for oil. However, the boiler been that close to the structure I wonder if the HE considers, or has to consider, any possible harm it might do to the building.?  I ask that because I would like to install an ASHP and wonder if this is the sort of a concern they have to take into consideration

An interesting question.  My first thoughts are how would they know?

Thinking a bit more -  there are lots of Listed Buildings which are heated by oil gas etc. My own local Church is Grade 1 and that's by gas - we looking at ASHP.   We have an internal planning system which requires us to get permission for such installations.

As long as your property is outside the curtilage of the listed building, you won't have any issues.

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

I'm not familiar with NI or the Affordable Warmth Scheme, bit of you'd prefer an ASHP there's no harm in asking if they'd be prepared to fit one.
