Unpaid parking fine

Options
Unpaid parking "fine" and now I have a letter from HM Courts & Tribunal Services.

Gladstones solicitor are the ones taking me to court,
I parked at Iceland car park for 1hour and received fine

I have now got a claim for £263.57 which comprises of:

Amount claimed £178.57
Court Fee £35
Legal Costs £50

I have probably ignored previous letter for the original £80 "fine" but it does seem unfair that they're claiming for a total of £263.57 claim and like they're marking their own homework by plucking a figure out their backsides.

I don't want pay them.
My Claim Form issued 07 JUL 2025

Many thanks to anyone who takes the time to answer. 🙏

The POC says the PC was £90. Not £80?

Show us the PCN if you have that.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Which parking company   ?  ( the name is on the top left of the claim form   )

Now that you have completed the AOS stage online,  study the template defence by coupon mad in announcements at the top of the forum and adapt it accordingly

You will be following the 8 steps mentioned in that thread

Ps, the alleged breach is not pleaded so add in the Chan and Akande parts too
