It's a bit more than that. He probably wants some plaster removed from the walls to check the padstones as well. The builder then needs to return and make good to the previous standard. The cost could be even more. It depends if the vendor is happy to be left with holes in his ceiling of the buyer pulls out, or what standard they want it made good.silvercar said:

...and making good after. As well as co-ordinating the date/time when the SE is on site, and hanging around while they do their stuff. Or else do it as a two-vist job, potentially disrupting two working days when more profitable work could be done instead.silvercar said:
