Migration esa to uc

Options
Completed the online forms with charity support. Passed online ID, then had to have telephone ID passed that now told we have to wait for a home visit ID. Which could take weeks & weeks. My husband as stage 4 cancer & a stroke, I have a broken back & brain injury. All UC have said on journal is " I'll get another 2 weeks ESA & use PIP till ID's proved". I've contacted my MP who as contacted the DWP.
I dont know how we'll survive financially until this home ID visit. I do not understand why they are putting us through this absolute hell. The shock & worry of my husbands cancer we still cant come to terms with, only diagnosed in March, plus I'm dealing with my own health issues.
And have no idea what we'll do for money until ID done. Although we have PIP & his state pension, its not enough to cover our outgoings & rent. I'll have to draw out cash on credit cards to survive & not pay rent.

Is there anything we can do to either expidite this home visit or say no as we've already passed the ID with the other methods?
We arent sleeping eating with the worry & my husbands undergoing treatment & needs to eat.
At a loss & just had enough....feel like I've been kicked & kicked & nothing left in me.

I collated every piece of paperwork over 3 months for this "easy transtion" and its been absolute hell & no end in sight.

As anyone else had to go through 3 lots of ID when the first 2 lots were passed?

It sounds very much like your online ID check and your telephone ID check have failed, because they wouldn’t be bothering with a Home Visit if either of those had been successful.

Your ESA won’t stop until your ID is verified. This may mean you are overpaid ESA depending on how long it takes for the Home Visit to be conducted, but this will be corrected within your UC award.

DWP Visits are working very very hard to prioritise Move to UC cases so you will be priority.

How long have you waited so far?

    Hello,

As you've made a Universal Credit claim, you can apply for an advance payment. This is a loan, but it can provide crucial funds while you wait for your first full payment. You can apply for this through your Universal Credit online account (via your journal), by calling the Universal Credit helpline (0800 328 5644), or by contacting your nearest Jobcentre. Explain your urgent circumstances and that you have no other means of support.

Citizens Advice offers a "Help to Claim" service for Universal Credit. They are experts in the process and can advocate on your behalf. Contact them (0800 144 8 444) to explain your situation and see if they can intervene or offer further advice on how to get the DWP to act more quickly.

You can’t apply for an Advance until ID is verified.

Similarly, ESA (& HB) won’t stop until after the ID is verified on the UC claim.

State Pension / PIP are not affected at all by migration to UC.

I was told you can apply, but until bank details have been confirmed and ID is provided, they hold the funds.

Nope, the Advance option is literally greyed out until ID is verified.

If the ID is verified but not the Bank details, the Advance option is accessible but you can’t progress it in anyway as it’ll just continually display that Bank details need to be verified first.

Telephone is how to get the ball rolling, as you say certain areas are not accessible until certain to-dos are finished to access areas.

We both passed the telephone ID. I have it in writing on my journal. Apparently the computor generates more ID needed, even though we have passed & the questons asked only we would know. I even checked I wasnt losing my mind & rung to check with the DWP the answers given were correct & they said yes they were correct.

The online ID passports were entered & credit checks used. Answered all questions except are you linked to any of these addresses, which we werent & no option to say no. And as for being given 4 attempts, it jumped straight to you will be called on the 9th July. I queried this in the journal & told dont worry easy questions. They werent easy at all, unless you have a good memory. But I had collated enough info over 3 months to cover every possible question. One question was when did your ESA start the date, I had that written. What borough did I live in, 2015 again answered. All questions answered correctly.
So now we've bern told we have to wait for a home ID Check to look at birth certs marriage cert etc etc & no idea when. It could be 4 wks 6 wks 8wks UC dont know. This is all written in my journal.

I have contacted my MP who is looking into this farce I have 3 Welfare benefit officers contacting UC to find out why we're being put through this hell of stress. Its bad enough being ill but when one of us as stage 4 cancer & undergoing treatment our stress & worry levels are off the scale.

The last jounal entry is I get paid on 17th July & thats it till ID proved, to live off PIP. Our PIP doesnt cover our bills let alone rent & u cant get an advance till IDs proved. Its a farce, when ID was proved on the 9th July. Unless they're hoping one of us will be dead by the time the home visit happens, as an SR1 forms been done for PIP.

    Sick of it all....

You cant get any advance as ID not proved, even though it was proved via phone on the 9th July. CAB told me to make a complaint & contact our local MP. Which I've done.

For the person who has been issued an SR1 form, report a change of circumstances on the online claim under health. On the homepage of the claim, click on report a change and then complete the health section. One of the questions asked is whether the person has been advised they have a terminal condition  with less than 12 months to live.

Once this is reported, this will generate an action on the claim, which must be a prioritised by the Service Centre Case Manager. And also send a journal message than an SR1 form has been issued and provided to PIP.

Once this has been done, I would expect the Case Manager to contact their Vulnerable Customer Lead to arrange urgent actions required.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Already done & not made any difference.

Aside from hiring a van 4 people 2 wheelchairs to get to job centre approx 6 miles away to expedite this farce, we're stuck. Checking the area we live in 10 wk wait for home ID visits, when the blasted ID as been passed by phone.

I'm absolutely fed up tired exhausted ill with this utter tripe we are being put through.

MP involved along with 3 Welfare benefit officers..all out of ideas & effort.

The journal entry states the last ESA payment is the 17th July, but dont worry u still av PIP & state pension, which we cant survive on, unless we dont pay our rent & canx a few DD's & use credit cards, be in debt up to our eyeballs.

We have done all this to the letter grom gathering evidence we are the 2 people who the DWP have been paying. We have passed ID checks but no not enough. Its like they want us dead before the claim goes live 😡
