https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People_of_Northern_Ireland#National_identityAccording to the OS website Great Britain does not include the island of Ireland, either the 26 counties of the Republic or the 6 counties of Northern Ireland. The British Isles on the other hand includes the whole island of Ireland. Therefore neither is correct terminology for British nationality - citizens of England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland. The former excludes UK citizens of the Six Counties, the latter includes citizens of the Republic, part of the EU.Reference Northern Ireland/Six Counties/Ulster - the most northerly part of the island is in the Republic, likewise1/3 of the nine counties of Ulster.I'm currently in the process of obtaining an Irish passport through the legacy rights conferred by my paternal grandmother. She was born before the partition of 1921.

Yes and No.The question was about the correct nationality options apparently offered by Ryanair online. My passport says United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly UK in practice, which I would suggest is the appropriate response for Brits ?0
