Hi,
Using the app I'm trying to add my new passport details but UK doesn't show under any form: UK, United Kingdom, GBR, Great Britain... Nothing.
It looks insane!
What should I specify?
Thanks

Using their app for me the first question is "Nationality" which you answer British and that auto fills the country of issue as the United Kingdompieroabcd said:Using the app I'm trying to add my new passport details but UK doesn't show under any form: UK, United Kingdom, GBR, Great Britain... That said when entering details the app had several problems, firstly it wasnt accepting DoB saying you have to be over 18 despite my year of birth being late 70s and then it couldn't find United Kingdom for the country code on a telephone number but searching for "44" brought up the United Kingdom0 -
Thank you0

Your nationality is British - not Great Britain (that's a country) or UK (also a country).

Great Britain is not a country, it's a geographical name for the whole of the British Isles.0

No, the British Isles is the geographical name for the British Isles. Great Britain is either (a) the geographical name of the largest of those isles or (b) politically, the whole of England, Scotland and Wales (including their various islands).NoodleDoodleMan said:Great Britain is not a country, it's a geographical name for the whole of the British Isles.
Handy Venn diagram here if anybody is still confused.0 -
No, Great Britain is England Scotland and Wales, hence the UK by its full name is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.NoodleDoodleMan said:Great Britain is not a country, it's a geographical name for the whole of the British Isles.
British Isles includes Isle of Mann, Ireland (north and republic)
Thankfully no one has tried to define "British" as suspect most would have forgotten Gibraltar, Bermuda, BVI and the other places that issue British passports.0 -
Apologies, I've confused Great Britain with the British Isles, the Ordnance Survey definition of the former does not include the Six Counties on the island of Ireland.....therefore neither is correct for British nationality as it excludes Northern Ireland.
