Have you tried someone such as allclear? There are some insurers such as them who accept many conditions that others won't.

I had terrible trouble previously with an AXA backed insurer who decided having a radical proctectomy was the same as my OH having an enlarged prostate- so when I took my latest annual policy I actively avoided Axa products. I spoke to several friends who have health issues and most seemed to favour Stay sure, and I went to them.

I was very impressed that they didn't just tick boxes, instead they asked me to explain the current state of play, and didn't try and tick boxes that were inappropriate for someone still  under investigation.

Obviously I am sure there are others - but I was on the phone for around 25 minutes explaining health issues- and felt they actually listened and understood- rather than just keep parroting 'I don't have a tick box for that'.

Admittedly not as cheap as an off the shelf company through a price comparison site, but with our ages and other health issues- i was pleasantly pleased at the final cost.

I did speak to Macmillan and they said if I struggled with going direct, to go via a broker to get a specialised policy, so if you can't get an insurer to understand, then try a broker.

Thank you I’m with stay sure they won’t accept active surveillance only watch and wait which the consultant said is different, apparently your answers have to match the gp records. A broker sent me to all clear but like  all of the others it was the same story. There is insurewith but they have shocking reviews thank you
