Wad the attached PDF signed & dated? If yes, then your defence is in.

A digital e signature should ideally have been added,  the usual manner is to sign a blank piece of white paper in black ink, take a picture  ( or scan it   ) , add it to the bottom of the document and save it as a docx, then use save as, choose pdf and save it again  ( publish it  )

It is then a pdf document that can be read in Adobe Reader

The saved defence pdf ( not the docx  )  is then attached to the email and sent to claim.responses

But your submission is hopefully OK and you will know it's OK when it's been logged in your MCOL claim history

you could log it directly on to  MCOL if needed
if the defence is not signed it will still be accepted (most likely) but the courts will ask you to resubmit a signed defence in due course

What do you mean a word doc?

You did save it as a PDF?

If not, put a shorter defence in on MCOL today. Remove the second half of the template including paras 9-11 about the DLUHC and also remove all the headings.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Soo, last night I managed to turn it into a pdf and used the edit button and managed a wonky signature and saved that and sent it at 00.07 this morning which is actually 29 days from served date (aka 5 days after date of notice )
I have now gone on line to MCOL and the defence possibility thing there is not an option.
I had started one but did not complete it, just the name part I think.
    It says Available Options;
A bar has been put on this claim, you cannot respond to this claim t this time.

I have not received anything else from Claim responses CNBC other than the automated.

You will have to keep checking your MCOL claim history every few business days,  so definitely this Friday around or after 4pm, ditto next week unless it shows that the defence has been logged. Presumably you received the auto email response back from the CNBC  ?

The bar is to prevent a default judgment being logged

Because I'm a newbie, I had to edit the automated response sent, (which I posted last night) because it had links.
The links referred to section 5b which is the signature I think and a note also that it is not more than 10MB or 25 printed pages in size.

I ended up sending 3 e-mails, one with the defense in the body as well as a word doc, then the word doc having removed the defence from the body and then after midnight, the PDF.

All 3 automated responses said the same thing and that I should expect a reply within 10 days.
