    Declare everything.
The issue is that these conditions aren’t listed in the drop down menu and as far as i can tell there isn’t an opportunity to write it in.
Vast majority of companies use the same medical screening software, even if they badge it differently so it looks to fit with their website. Having looked at one that uses this software pre-eclampsia, gestational high blood pressure and gestational diabetes are selectable.

If you've picked an insurer that doesnt use the normal software, and even then I'd be surprised if they didnt include them, then just choose another insurer.
Which one did you use? I’ve tried - money super market, go compare, post office, Tesco, Aviva and Sainsbury’s. Sainsbury’s is the only one that list thaws conditions so would be good to know which one you’ve checked. Thanks.
You really need to speak with the potential insurer to get absolute clarity - we have a Nationwide bank packaged account which includes cover with Aviva, there is a number to call before you consider any policy.
The fact that you can't find specifics online doesn't mean that it's not included in pre-existing conditions which need to be declared.
I assume, for example, that diabetes of any type requires to be declared upfront, hypertension likewise.
I'm no medic, however I believe each can result in complications ?
I would suggest you need expert medical advice on this ahead of calling an insurance provider.

Use the price comparison sites only to find the insurer which best suits your requirements.  Then contact that insurer direct.  Tell them all the medical conditions and let them decide whether there will be any additional charges or not.

I think you might be overthinking the pregnancy link. The questionnaires ive filled definitely ask about diabetes and hypertension and ask if you have seen a dr in the last x years. Just answer correctly.

    I always ring.
The onus is on you to let them know of anything relevant because that is what they will price as a risk.
They will only insure you on the information you give.

I was going on safari but the insurance didn't show : not covered for Jeep:
A trip to Egypt :not covered for camel riding:
Dive boat I'd been on the previous year:we don't cover dive boats: ..... I looked at the website and it said : boutique cruiser: rang back and:oh yes we cover that: same boat.

But none of that was on the insurance website

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on

The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

Legally it's not, CIDRE states they must ask all relevant questions and a consumer cannot be expected to volunteer other relevant information if not directly asked. Questions must also be specific, you can't have a "tell us about anything else relevant".

Insurance is ultimately a contract, the terms of that contract is contained within the policybook and given virtually all consumer insurance (outside of Protection) is sold on a non-advised basis its up to you to read the policy book and determine if its coverages are suitable for your needs.

Almost all, if not all, insurers have their policy books on their websites. Many can be found in the general pages, some only present it at the end of the quote process but ultimately it's there for you to read. So whilst I agree "we dont cover camel riding" isnt going to be on the homepage above the page fold but it is on the website by virtue of the policy book being there. If it's not in the policy book then it's not excluded.

I suspect the "boat" is a bit of a red herring and actually what they were referring to was diving which is often listed as excluded actives, at least over a certain depth, on a standard policy but often can be included for a supplement. With a non-advised sale, they won't ask what activities you are doing but if a supplement is available will offer it to you with helper text to advise what additional things it will cover. You'd normally at the end of the process also have to click that you have read the terms and conditions which will include all the activities covered or excluded depending on if they are writing it in a positive or negative way.
