Finish packing up equipment that needs to be returned to a client I've finished working with
Proofread the job application and submit
HH sorting out coursework as I have small piles in various locations which need to be sorted out, filed and stored away
Wipe down the kitchen surfaces
Hoover the living room and hall
Sweep the kitchen floor
Cobweb dust downstairs
Get the kids to tidy their rooms
Do some work on the garden as it has become badly overgrown
Take DD to the stables so she can ride and deal with the horse
Take the dog for a walk if it cools down (I've just been letting her into the garden during this hot weather) Still to hot
I think that's everything I need to tackle today. I wish this heat would go away, as it's affecting my productivity levels. I hope everyone has a lovely Friday. Hugs to those who need or want them.

I have S&S'd the kitchen and bathroom, hoovered all through downstairs (I dusted yesterday) and showered and dressed - that's me done for the day. It's well over 30deg and twot to do anything else other than sit with a book or delete more emails. L came at 8.45 to take Rosie out for her walk, so she's relaxing too. DH has the coolest bedroom so he's still in there!
Hope everyone has a good day and gets plenty of water to drink xxx5 -
I'm desperately trying to catch up with Fred - I'm half way through reading last week's, I think - but as each day passes it becomes a more and more hopeless task. I hope all is well with everyone, is all I can say at the moment. Not Flying as such, either, other than also desperately trying to keep on top of things, and failing miserably. My office / Room of Doom is once again a dumping ground for things I need to sort and put away, but at the moment the flat surfaces are all covered in gibble that I need to work on or make decisions about, and neither of those is what's happening while I'm dealing with recalcitrent things, and there are a lot of those. This morning I walked the dog, put a load of stuff away that was in the wrong places on the middle layer, walked the dog and helped the builder remove ivy from a wall. It's a tall wall, about 20' high and 20' long, listed, I own it and the ivy is up to the size of my arm thick in places. It's been worrying me for years and he took one look at it and said he's re-arrange his work schedule and come round today to hack it right back because it's so dangerous. We now have a plan for dealing with all of it and saving the wall. I'm so relieved. I've been chopping up everything under 1cm thick to take to the tip in bags - there will be about a dozen and I can tip for free whereas he has to pay because he's got a van. He's going to chainsaw through everything thicker and I can then bag up those bits. I've now showered, had lunch, and am about to go and get my hair cut which badly needs it, and then go back out there and continue chopping and bagging. A couple of people will be helping tomorrow but there is SO MUCH of it he's now thigh deep in it when he comes down off the ladder. It's a big wall and the ivy has been rampant for a long time. So, I'll catch up when I can (I like to know what's been happening to my Fly Friends in my absence, and keep posting as and when I can.Better is good enough.6

Well, the robot window cleaner has had its inaugural run. Did the patio door windows inside and out on an initial dry run as suggested in the manual. By the time I'd done that, the sun had moved round so I can't see what sort of a job it's done so I'll leave the 'wet' run until the morning once I've been able to see the windows in their current state in sunshine.
Been far too hot again for me today. Ended up stripping my bed and washing the sheets etc. as I've potentially got a busy few days ahead. It's now finishing off on the line ready for me to pop it back on the bed later this evening. (I'm sooooo fussy with my bedding, it's off and back on the bed the same day!).
Loaf of bread made - now in it's final proofing stage before going in the oven.
Chicken casserole in the slow cooker for dinner (all I can cope with cooking on these hot days!).
DW finished so that needs emptying.
Tomorrow, my GD may come to lunch and I may go out for dinner but it's all dependent on how my daughter's feeling - she's been off sick the last couple of days with a sore through and muggy head. But, what will be will be...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Honeybear don't worry, I'm in perpetual chaos/slothdom too.
Flying-wise, the house is in a reasonable state of cleanliness but I'm simultaneously: 1. going through Mum's photo albums (5 large boxes thereof) partly to sort out a few old ones to make a 'memory box' which residents have outside their door; mainly what the resident would like people to know about their life/hobbies etc. 2. continuing to sort out my ex-home office 3. moving from place to place to find cool spots, taking/leaving books wherever I go.
Added to that is the fact that tomorrow I have to do church flowers and make up arrangements for Mum and SIL as we are going to Dorset (via a night with SIL) tomorrow afternoon. Part of the M3 is closed so it could be a long hot journey. Hence the kitchen is full of flowers and soaking oasis. I wish they would invent eco-friendly oasis as I do use a fair bit (although I re-use a lot); it is just the best way of arranging and transporting arrangements to take on long journeys!
A few 'the end is in sight' happenings. 2 weeks ago, my drumming tutor told me that he is leaving, so next week will be my last lesson with him. A new one will make it my 6th..........they don't often stay long as no holiday pay etc.
Also my voluntary work is relocating in a year or so's time, which gives me a deadline for a lot of archiving. At present it is destination unknown but it is unlikely to be commutable enough for me to consider just as voluntary work. Shame, as the premises are lovely and I enjoy the work.
Annoyingly, have done something painful to my shoulder; ridiculously it appears to have been sitting awkwardly in the car on the way home from Gloucester last week - I swam on the way home and it was fine, so I must have done something in the car........anyone else have a nasty habit as passenger of wrapping seatbelt round wrist to make a 'headrest' and dropping off? Nah, thought it might just be me. So my swimming and other exercise have been curtailed this week.
Keep cool everyone.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
I'm also making steady progress with my tax return. A bit more complicated than usual, having retired and also missed some self-employed work with Mum being ill.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7

Morning all xx
Weekend at last. And no more paid stuff til 22nd. Woot woot. Fell asleep in the chair last night so went to bed at 9.30 pm. Woke up this morning at 4.55 am, and got up at 5.35 am as I was fed up lying there and I wanted a brew. So much for a holiday lie in!
So I'm up, made my bed taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with three hints (too American for me today), completed Wordle in five, completed Connections with no hints, and I'm supping my second brew.
Foggy here. Query: sea fret? Forecast to burn off by 10am. Then it will be twot. Again
Pops had his operation yesterday. Gall bladder removed. General Anaesthetic. Not keyhole surgery. I spoke to him last night and he was sore but OK. Not sure when he'll be discharged - may even be today.
I have my pencil and A4 paper ready to write down my Saturdailies plus. Shush. Don't want to jinx myself- but I think I've found a 'method' that works for me. Probably not more flying being done ...yet....but I'm feeling much more organised and adding things to the list as they arise or as I remember them is liberating synapses. New list every Saturday.
Take care. Stay hydrated.
Love to all
Rxx
IT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme6 -
morning all.
Not much been going on. Got my friend to the hospital easily, she’s in a scheme and it is a private one so the whole thing was quite pleasant and i got coffee. When mum died we decided that the collection would go to local dementia support groups so i’ve made the two smaller donations. The larger is going the Care Group. i still need to do that.
Had an ebay sale…once again I undercut other sellers. My aim is to get rid really.
Been given. LOTS of red gooseberries so today will be spent jamming. Out later though.
Nice to see you back Soappie
