Help with deed of trust and whether we should register it

Hi, me and my partner are buying a house with a declaration of trust in place. The Solicitor has given us the option to register it with the land registry or to just keep the deed ourselves. The Solicitor will not keep a copy.
I have read that having a deed of trust registered with land registry can cause issues when remortgaging as the morgage company may want a solicitor to declare the deed has been followed, so I'm concerned this could mean hiring a solicitor each time we remorgage.
So I was wondering if it would be better just to keep the deed ourselves as a private agreement to prevent any issues when we remorgage as the deed won't affect the mortgage company, it just sets out how much deposit we put in.
Obviously us keeping it is less secure than registering as we will hold the only copy.
I wonder what other people do in this situation?

There’s nothing to stop you making multiple copies and handing those to other people to keep. You can certify the copies by both signing them.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
