Lebara - roaming issues (Denmark)
Has anyone used Lebara reliably in Denmark?
We tried the MSE deal for one phone (my partner’s) - iPhone 15 pro.
- struggled to get a data connection on landing
- after trying manual network switch we managed to get a 5G connection which could be used for much of 1 day
- on later days, no data at all (or occasionally Edge) regardless of automatic/manually selected network
- used the lebara apn settings
- same issue when sim tried in my iphone 16 pro max
- reboot didn’t help, nor did turning off volte. Also all software updates installed
Meanwhile my own iPhone 16 pro max has been perfect on EE (full works - pricey, but with EE broadband, and my use of google services - storage and gemini pro, as well as nest/home - it worked out well).
I think today she’ll just pay EE for 2 x 7 days eu roaming (15 ukp x 2). To avoid stress/waste time.
Shame, but the lebara experiment failed for us.
Has anyone else used it in Denmark well? How about sweden or norway (our next two destinations).
We did try firsty too (I already have as backup). the ad supported service does work for basic whatsapp. They offer faster services too at 1 eur (med slow speed) or 2.5 eur (full speed)but for our remaining ~13 days this works out as more anyway for full speed. Excellent as an immediate backup though.

I had the same issues both in the USA and France this summer with an iphone 15 and Lebara.I changed the settings as instructed - but for 2 weeks just got “unable to access data” message in USA ( i had purchased a 2 week roaming package)- unable to access the internet / use my phone.Roaming in France took 3 days to start working… and then kept saying “poor internet connection”
I contacted Lebara who offered a refund (USA ) of roaming package ….. didn’t materialize.Never had problems until I moved to Lebara. Never had to change settings with other suppliers and roaming was always seamless…… Very disappointing.Yes, my experiment with Lebara failed too.0 -
Never had any issues with Lebara. Not used it in Denmark but I can't see any reason it would be different from any other European country for roaming where mine has been fine. 5G signal has been far better than in the UK.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Seamless roaming with Lebara in Norway during my recent holiday. No need to change any settings.1

Next time you travel if you’ve got a problem with your service, you can install an eSIM while you are on the go! It’s quite easy to setup - you can compare prices and plans on Roamcompare.com.I used a eSIM from Firsty and they were great in Denmark!0
