We get the same. There's a walnut tree in the pub garden behind us. I must have pulled up at least 20 this year. Does anybody ever see squirrels actually retrieving the things they've buried?Make £2025 in 2025

I've tried the chilli and other plants options to deter them but with no great success. Has anyone any suggestions how to tackle this problem? Are Ultrasonic repellents worth trying?
Look forward to your suggestions / experiences
I've seen up to 4 grey squirrels at a time in our garden - the only plants I've noticed them take an interest in have been sunflowers (eating the seeds)

I know what they do.
They wait for my apples to ripen then remove any deterrent I've put in place and take the whole lot in one go😬I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

However, it generally accepted that they do not remember where they buried something, but dig up something they have scented, probably buried by another squirrel.
One ate the bulbs I had dumped in a pot that had not been planted..
