Is it even a real stamp, or just part of the original printout? Is that a wet signature from Scott Rob____ ? I bet it's not

It's a printed stamp and a printed signature.   It's the BBC dipping into the scammers' playbook.

The letters are mostly ridiculous - a case of "spot the fact" most of the time.

There are some key weasel words that they normally use, even though they are a somewhat strange choice - but they are there for a reason...

    - "Schedule a visit".  It is usually scheduling a visit rather than the more direct "We will visit".  That's because householders can choose not to permit such a visit and "scheduling" gives some leeway for that.

    - "If we find you've been watching...".  It's the very vague "find" rather than "searching for" or "we will ask the questions... about your viewing habits".   Again, it's to allow some leeway for people's rights not to participate.

Letters written (maybe by lawyers) to try to scare people...

It’s ridiculous that a private company is allowed to behave this way.  We're currently dealing with our late mother's estate; the property is empty and the only company sending nonsense letters to the occupier are these clowns.  Don't they cross reference the death register like every decent business?

I'm now two letters past that one, it's getting exciting!
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
  • Looks a bit like a private parking scam letter just ignore and chuck in the bin
  • I just got another letter in a big red envelope.

I wonder if this is to inform the postie I don't have a TV licence?

I use the savings on the TV licence to pay for Amazon prime and since I live in Scotland and pay £26 a litre for my booze I now get it post free from Amazon for £19.

    Win win scenario.

I was cutting the hedge and when I asked my postie what he had pushed through the letter box he referred to the TV licence threatogram as junk mail.  :D
