    Sippi is an e-permit system.

Did the Council tell your bf about this, as he doesn’t have a car?
  • He wouldn’t have read the letter, it would be addressed to his parents. Going off the councils email it seems visitors can’t park there either now. So I don’t believe sippi would’ve helped against the confusing signs.

I genuinely think they’ve put the sign up not realising it says visitors must register on the kiosk.

    I’ll contact the IAS today

The Council sign you posted above says that visitors can park there. But the UK CPM signs don’t say that their vehicle needs to be registered on the Sippi e-permit system.

I wonder how many other Council sites have UK CPM signage which mentions a non-existent kiosk?

    Which Council is it?
  • It was Phoenix housing community, sits in Lewisham council. They’ve said multiple of their sites have this signage but they only sent me an image of the contract sign, not the visitors sign…

On the email it said residents were made aware of the permit e portal, but she only ever refers to vehicles and not visitors. No where is it clear I should’ve used the sippi portal, which most car parks make it clear where the kiosk is/on.

    Agreed.

DO NOT MENTION SIPPI IN YOUR IAS APPEAL.

Just talk about confusing signs and that there's no 'kiosk' and no terms offered to visitors.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Update:

Thanks for all the advice. Just got the below update from IAS which I’m surprised with!
I won’t be parking there again though to avoid this happening and I’m going to go back to the council to try get them to update the signs.

Thank you for your appeal. Due to further information UK Car Park Management Ltd has confirmed they will no longer be pursuing the matter and the parking charge has been cancelled.

Ive been fighting with CPM as I parked in the flat where my boyfriend lives
I would now get hold of the lease from your landlord, or from another owner-occupier. Then you can find out your rights and where you stand.

Because one day your boyfriend will get a ticket won't he?

I’ll try to as I’d think parking was included. He doesn’t drive atm so he’s fine. I assume he’ll be able to get a permit though when the time comes. It’s just a problem for whenever I visit!
