Now some councils are taking pip as earnings so the council tax will go up,they are also backdating it,they tell you it's a new thing, not all councils doing it but no doubt will be across the board eventually

Yes Leicester city council has just started to do this although some told me they do if for standard rate PIP but not for enhanced? I can't actually find anything on their website which explains this.

Each council is free to set their own rules for what they take into account and how much council tax reduction they offer. Postcode lottery.

Well that's correct, as PIP is for care costs, amongst other things
