Yes Leicester city council has just started to do this although some told me they do if for standard rate PIP but not for enhanced? I can't actually find anything on their website which explains this.

Each council is free to set their own rules for what they take into account and how much council tax reduction they offer. Postcode lottery.

  • Yeah I think they include PIP when they do an assessment of income for contributions towards care costs as well.
