Halifax app showing Lloyds accounts and vice versa

The 3 logos on startup and integrated banking make me think they're going to get rid of Halifax soon. It makes no sense to have 2 or 3 branch networks anyway, even though the banks have engineered this themselves.0

They've already started heavily advertising that you can use any Lloyds/Halifax/BoS branch to help you with any Lloyds/Halifax/BoS accounts. Given the way Halifax is going with their Reward account revamp (it's slowly becoming very much like a Club Lloyds account) I wouldn't be surprised if they did what you're saying, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they consolidated their offerings and kept it around purely for the brand recognition (similar to NatWest/RBS/Ulster).OrangeBlueGreen said:The 3 logos on startup and integrated banking make me think they're going to get rid of Halifax soon. Halifax is just a trading name for Bank of Scotland, so in theory they could easily drop Halifax and rebrand everything as BoS. However, I think that's unlikely because Halifax is a strong brand in the North of England, whilst BoS is virtually unknown outside Scotland. Many English customers would just confuse it with RBS, and you can imagine the chaos that would cause
It would be a lot more difficult, but not impossible, to move Halifax customers to Lloyds as it's a separate bank. It would mean taking half of BoS's customers, and moving them to a different bank. Unless they close BoS down completely, but then the Scottish Nationalists would be in uproar.2 -
Some Scots couldn't cope when RBS changed from blue to purple. Who knows how they would react if BoS was completely removed.EarthBoy said:Halifax is just a trading name for Bank of Scotland, so in theory they could easily drop Halifax and rebrand everything as BoS. TBH I get on better with Halifax than I do with Lloyds0

What's better about Halifax, is it the customer service? The apps are the same, so that shouldn't make any difference.0

Same here. Only Halifax & BOS accounts showing, Lloyds isn't visible on either. As for QrizB I can see them via OB anyway at the momenttrickydicky14 said:Well I have apps for Halifax and Lloyds and nothing happening for me as yet. For me, in the "Save & Invest" tab in the Halifax and BoS apps it shows my Lloyds regular savers and a children's savings account. Clicking on them does nothing, it just shows the balances. In the "Summary" and "Everyday" tabs it only shows Halifax and BoS accounts.jimjames said:

I used to be able to see my Scottish Widows retirement fund on both the Halifax and Lloyds apps. This facility has now disappeared0

Just checked again and Scottish Widows info seems to have been restored0
