Thats why I never park anywhere that requires an app to park..

    I'd rather walk a mile
Often they give you a phone number.

When we did a few days in Bournemouth last year I could not work out the parking app. As I'm ultra careful, I rang them and confirmed that my payment had gone through. It had as I also received a notification stating payment gone through,  which I had not noted.

Even when using their machine and a card to pay, I get a receipt or take a picture of the confirmation, and I triple check my reg number is correct.

With any and every parking, I don't take risks, especially apps and so far, no hassle.
I never leave my car until i hear the noise of the twinpay app payment chime, which i did hear today and so did my partner; and never had an issue with it before. They had a 2 phone numbers on the sign that i took a pic of and tried to call when i realised the payment didnt work but neither numbers got me through to a human, the furthest i got was hold music for 3 mins before it sent me to voicemail. i left 2 voicemails but nobody bothered to call me back
Well, there you go, that is part of your evidence logged on your phone records etc and the time and date you left messages. Good luck.
(I've never had an issue with any car park and owned a car from the age of 17 and now just gone 60. However, one can't fail to note the unfairness of some of the car park operating outfits, judging by what i have read in the media.)

It would be prudent to observe your screen rather than listen for a ‘noise’. A transaction can fail even if you get a chime on your phone and the App would have advised as such (visually). Anyway, as you paid in the end, I’d be surprised if a charge is issued.
