Hi all,
During this warm weather we've discovered we're missing a key to one of our UPVC windows and can't open it! As you can see, there are no accessible screws on the inside!
Any solution ideas?

All my keys open all my windows, have you tried another one?"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "2

1. No photo.
2. See if there is a number engraved on the part of the lock which turns with the key in it. If so, that is proably the key number and you can get spares via the internet.1 -
I'd imagine one screw will be accessible of the two holding it on - it'll be behind a white plastic plug. The other one will not be accessible if the window is locked. You can get to the second screw by forcing the handle if you are brutal enough, then you'll be able to remove the handle to replace it.0

You should be able to use a thin bit of metal (the clip off a tape measure is ideal) to push between the handle and lock bit
The lock only actually controls the push button (usually)

A small flat screwdriver will turn many window locks - they're not exactly high security.

If you have other windows of the same make and installed at the same time, then they probably all use the same key.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
We've got 4 different window keys in our house and we can still only lock half of our windows. If all else fails, I use my lock picking kit which is basically a set of thin screw drivers I can poke in the lock. As above, they aren't high security so some jiggling with thin screw drivers might work.0

Hammering a flat bladed screwdriver in usually works for me. New handles are cheap once you have it open0

When I bought my flat these people were able to identify which keys my windows needed from photos
