HoolyNI said:A loose wire in an extension lead which was plugged in to a circuit breaker at the socket. Thought it had just thrown the trip but had blown the 30A fuse in my domestic plugs, so I pulled the 30A fuse out of garage socket to double check that it was the fuse but now I cant get the garage socket back in.If you wish to explore sorting this yourself, then it's CU main switch off, and pull out that dodgy holder. Then we can hopefully have a looksee.

Thanks all, decided to just call my spark as didn't want to risk making a bad situation worse. Hopefully it will be a simple enough fix.1

Just a quick update. Spark called out that night and replaced fuse holder and seemed to tighten up a copper plate that slots up behind the fuse box. 15 minute job. Thanks for all your help.2
