DD had to drive to London this morning for a week for a work thing. Her Ddad is staying to look after DGC this week.
Busy weekend driving family around so not doing much today

@mehefin - Glad to hear the birthday went well. Nice being treated to tea by the dogs' owners. The parade should have been in your honor for the day. But it sounds like everyone had a good time. 

With our heat, we get wildfires - nearest though is 28 miles away. Just trying to stay cool. Finally got our new fan going in the living room. We have a long hot summer to look forward to now. If I could just figure out how to get a nice lifeguard to help me in and out of the pool in my backyard, it would be perfect. I can get in - just not sure I can get out as there is no railing to hold onto - don't know what my father was thinking when he put it in (back in the 1960s). May have to look into what can be used instead.
