Toll tickets in Europe

Has anyone had an issue with Toll Tickets for European travel? I’ve used them successfully for many years but I’ve just had a bill (which I think is incorrect) for NINE years (yes, 9). Struggling to get a timely and/or helpful response from customer services. I wondered if anyone else has had issues and if you’ve got advice that would help me. TIA.

I don't understand what you are talking about. A bill for what? Is Toll Tickets a company? Maybe if you posted a copy of the bill (your info blanked out) it would help someone advise you.

Motorway tolls? If so, which country? Did you sign up for something with automatic renewal unless cancelled?0

Thanks for replying. Motorway tolls in France for holidays. You can rent a device for the duration of the hols and then send it back afterwards, which I have done every year since 2015, and you pay as you go. It’s not an auto renew arrangement. The Tolltickets company is based in Germany. However, they’ve just taken about £620 from me via PayPal, supposedly to cover a 9-year bill. I think the bill is incorrrect (and who sends a bill for 9 years anyway?). Customer services are very much dragging their feet. I was wondering if anyone else had had a similar issue.0

No but in future try bip And go. The unit cost €16 including shipping to UK and you only pay €1-30 per calendar month you use it in tolls.
Mine is 6 years old this summer and would have paid a lot more tbh, the convenience of not having to queue and the reduction in arguments between DH and I has been an extra saving. And the kids thought it was magic.
Back to your current issue they should be supplying you with an itemised bill of every time you used it, through which tolls and his much. Which you could then dispute ( with proof) if it is wrong.
Good luck

Thanks beckstar1975. I’ll look up Bip & Go - sounds like the same kind of device. Also thanks for the advice about the itemised bills. I do have itemised bills from every year, although very complicated ones and further complicated by the fact that the company’s record keeping has evolved over the relevant years, so the bills are complicated and also inconsistent. The 9-year bill is for “services and deliveries” of the devices, not the actual tolls. I do have “services & deliveries” already paid on some of my bills so there appears to be duplication. The company’s FAQs say billing will be monthly, quarterly or yearly and certainly within 12 months - how they can produce a bill that covers 9 years is a puzzle. I’m thoroughly baffled and getting increasingly annoyed with radio silence from customer services.0

Beckstar1975 thank you so much for sending this link! You’ve given me another way forward for reaching customer services, instantly made me feel better that there are others with similar issues, AND suggested an alternative with Bip & Go. Brilliant! I can continue my pursuit of customer services and a refund now. Fingers crossed! 🤞🏼0
