I wouldn't ..... no brand name (I can see) on the box or the casing.
Try this one. It's just £4 more (inc pp) and you get a 5 year warranty + a device from one of the leading brand names in fire etc detection. 100% Ebay feedback seller - and these normally retail £32+

I can recommend this one - we have one at home, bought it from Wilkinson's last year and think it was about £25.
It's a bonus because it's a combined CO and fire alarm.
Good luck finding a good priced one!

If you search Google or Ebay for "SF350", I think you will find that this is the British Gas approved alarm.
I bought one of these on Ebay about 6 months ago for about £20 delivered. It comes with a 5 year battery.
It seemed very cheap for what it does!0 -
Also.. Please, please take it away with you when you go on Holiday,
we hear more and more of dodgy boilers etc on the news nowadays.0 -
If you are on benefits or maybe even if you aren't I thought you could get these fitted free by your local fire brigade? Or is that just smoke detectors
?
chev
Im a Firefighter, we only fit free smoke alarms, if you want them call your local station.
As far as CO2 alarms, we have a Kidde one with an LCD display, I bought a different make from tesco and it kept coming up with an error after about an hour. got it swapped for a replacement and the same happened so got a refund and bought elsewhere.
Definately get an alarm, dont buy those things that change colour as it wont wakw you in the night0 -
My DH is a british gas engineer and sell them to customers at £38 the same one a british gas website sells for £22.99 http://www.britishgas.co.uk/products-and-services/energy/gas-safety/carbon-monoxide.html0
