I don’t use my vouchers for food shopping but if I did I wouldn’t be counting it as part of the GC spend - that is just what shows in my bank statement.6
-
I don't count Tesco vouchers, Nectar points or Boots points towards my grocery challenge, I think of them as extra perks which mean I haven't spent my own cash on the items.6

I spend nectar and Tesco vouchers on my grocery's to help bring the shopping bills down in March. I don't record the savings I have made.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Had a difficult time posting earlier today so here is the shortened version.
I discovered yesterday that Rancho Gordo beans are now available in the UK from this site Shop | Discover Quality Beans Today — The Heirloom Bean Co, bringing rare dried beans to the UK which has made rather a hole in my treat fund.
I've spent £1.46 at Mr T's, £4.10 at Mr T's and £21.05 at M*rks this week.
That makes my new GC total £51.74/£150
My rough meal plan for the week is to make a coleslaw, green salads, marinated tofu again, the flatbread wraps again and to try this cauliflower salad too.
I'm also hoping to make some blackcurrant curd and some rhubarb curd later in the week.
Hope everyone is enjoying the good weather wherever you are."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

Ok so going forward then I will not be counting any vouchers. Over the past months thats what I have been doing, to try and give a better reflection of what I'm buying. However, I am trying to save them up now for the end of the year; but just depends how desperate things get.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £69.15/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Spent £2.99 on a pastry bag from 2G2G.
Brings me up to £77.06 spent, £72.94 remaining.Keep reading books!
July grocery challenge START: £150.
total SPENT £127.53, REMAINING £22.37.5 -
Spends totalling £97.08 to add that includes quite a lot of snacky/ready meal type bits I wouldn’t normally have brought as struggling a lot more than I expected post op so needed quick and easy options for lunches/dinners. Hoping I’ll feel well enough by the weekend to go and do a proper shop.
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk5 -
I have a few spends to declare from yesterday before the birthday dinner.
£32.20 at M & S for bananas, various kinds of YS reduced hummus, milk, baked beans, microwave rice, a small grain salad, a tube of tomato paste, canned mackerel, 2 bottles of sparkling mango juice, 1 bottle of ginger beer, 1 bottle of raspberry lemonade, and a couple canned cocktails.
£9.86 at Savers for 2 packs of cough drops, air freshener, and waxing strips.
£18.85 at Tesco by Mr. Jings for beer, cider, full fat organic milk, and natural yoghurt. I bought him a yoghurt maker for his birthday so he’s going to try a batch this week.
£195.94 / £400 spent. £204.06 total remaining.
The drinks and alcohol were for our dinner last night but we didn’t really use most of them. We could have probably shaved about £25 off our spending yesterday but oh well. We now have various drinks to last us through the hot spell coming this week(end). I’ll likely go to Lidl tomorrow to restock on eggs and meat.

@K9sandFelines I don't count the supermarket voucher discounts towards the GC. I consider it free/bonus money.
@mandco try not to feel bad about buying more convenient food for yourself while you're still recuperating. Just keep trying to feed yourself vaguely healthy and comforting food to keep your spirits up. Hope you feel better soon. 🙂5
