I use Firefox and the Nationwide website and online banking site are both fine. That's also the case with the Coventry website, either you misunderstood what they told you or you got someone who didn't know the right answer and just said something to fob you off. I suspect there's an issue in your Firefox setup, perhaps an add-on causing something not to work right.

There are workarounds to get Firefox and Coventry's online banking to work together.... but not out of the box.  Hence probably why Coventry default to the 'Not supported' line.

What workaround do you think is required? Because I can assure you I don't have to do anything in Firefox to get onto the Coventry website, and never have needed to.
Described in the posts by masonic and AmityNeon, in the thread I linked to.

That looks to have been something that was required in the way they had Firefox set up at that time, as subsequent posters have stated in that thread (confirming my own experience) there is NO requirement to do anything different in Firefox if your settings are acceptable to Coventry - most of mine are defaults.

Your defaults must be different to mine (and the others reporting the same issue) then.

The point here is when you said "...either you misunderstood what they told you or you got someone who didn't know the right answer and just said something to fob you off..." the fact is what the OP reported is the official line from Coventry.  They don't support use of Firefox for their internet banking service.

Thankfully the Nationwide issue seems to be something unrelated.
