Exchanging a pergola

Apologies for posting the wrong link on their site, here's one of their pergolas with a slatted wall

It must be placed very near the house to restrict the light.

The OP says the slats on the roof pivot.

The OP says the slats on the roof pivot. 

So the roof slats pivot but  the back wall is slatted, presumably fixed.

If it was ordered online and not made to measure then you have the right to return it within 14 days of delivery.

However if you've done more than take it out of the box to look at it (e.g. installed it, which you have, by the sounds of it), then the can reduce the refunded amount to reflect the loss in value.

You do not have the right to insist they exchanged it for something different.
