Not that I'll miss it as I haven't won a bean in it in the last ten years, and I haven't seen any reports from people who have.friolento said:Advised by email received today that Halifax are closing their Savers Prize Draw. A member of my extended family apparently won one of the prizes (they certainly don't need the money and wouldn't say how much) but bought a new caravan, another long-haul holiday and other Baby Boomer essentials with it.0 -

This includes everything that the reward account gets plus free holiday insurance, breakdown cover, phone insurance. I’ve had no emails about any changes to this. Nothing mentioned about my ultimate account on Halifax webpages nor emails. Anyone heard that this might change also. It may seriously make me change banks and I’ve been with them for over 20 years
I have a Bank of Scotland saver account and will be closing it once the last draw has taken place. Trying to get the draw date info out of BoS is like pulling teeth, their chat-bot is useless, the chat agents seem to avoid answering the question and divert me to "dedicated" phone lines.

I have soft spot for Halifax, but their current saving rates are shocking..4 -
Halifax as a brand is doomed and it is just a question of when, not if, it disappears.
With the exception of their Regular Saver (which has been eclipsed by the offerings from Nationwide and the smaller building societies) their rates have been risible for years. They now have no USP mow the perks introduced before the shotgun marriage with Lloyds have gone. (Bank of Scotland does owing to it being able to print notes and issue them North of the Border, giving free advertising whenever anyone gets a BOS note in their change...)

Oh it’s the final draw this month. I won £100 in June. Doubt I’ll win anything this time but need to be in it to win it. I’ll transfer my ISA elsewhere next month. Not sure where yet
