Finding claim

I started a car finance reclaim sometime back and the last I heard was they were 'looking into claims' and were going to contact me with more information. I haven't heard for sometime and can't find who the claims were through. Does anyone know how I can find this? I've searched emails but to no avail.

It was for the miss sold finance that was brought to light a few years back.

I guess you'll have to wait for their next email once the FCA has made its decision as to what will happen.

Court cases are still ongoing.   The FCA has said it will publish the next stages within 6 weeks of the courts reaching a decision.

The FCA current position is that it would consult on creating a section 404 redress scheme and how that would work.  It is unknown at this stage whether it will be a scheme you opt into or whether you will be automatically opted into as that is part of the consultation.      However, it would allow the finance companies to close all the complaints made so far, stop the FOS being messed about unnecessarily and also prevent the fools who signed up with claims companies from being ripped off.

Current thinking is that this will take us until 2026 and redress schemes have typically required multiple years to be completed.
